The experience

You can understand the pattern and still keep repeating it.

Relationships do not simply happen. They are shaped, one moment and one choice at a time. Maybe things aren’t falling apart. Maybe it’s just that they could be different.

The same conflict keeps returning, closeness feels harder to reach, or you keep finding yourself in relationships that do not feel like what you want. Therapy can help you catch what happens between you, make room for a different choice, and practice new ways of relating.

The work

Understand the pattern. Practice something better.

We all develop ways of relating that once made sense. Sometimes those patterns continue long after we need them.

Therapy can help you slow down enough to see what is happening, understand where it comes from, and experiment with new ways of responding. The goal is not simply to understand yourself better. It is to change how you participate in your relationships—and build something that reflects who you actually want to be.

How I work

Therapy should be warm enough for honesty and active enough for change.

I see therapy as a collaborative process. I am interested in what happens beneath the obvious problem: the patterns you repeat, the assumptions you carry, the ways you protect yourself, and the dynamics that emerge between people.

We will look at those patterns together, but insight is only part of the work. We will also practice new ways of communicating, responding, setting boundaries, tolerating vulnerability, and showing up.
